The ROSNIČKA festival welcomed summer once again on the 24th of June in Svitavy. This Czech festival is known for its enthusiastic vibes between young czech students. It has marked around 1000 attendants and more than 30 shows, including 20 live shows and 10 Dj performance, in two days.
According to the festival organizer Jan Barnet Rosnicka is upgrading slowly every year. This year the event hosted international artists, and visual design, as it had more profound dramaturgy.
The arriving guests were welcomed at a beautiful spot next to the lake filled with tents mainly for those staying for the whole festival. A few minutes away, walking by the edges of the lake, two stages appeared from the side. Crossing the entrance, the first impressive thing was the main stage and the visuals. A few meters away, stands were getting ready. The food diversity was impressive as well – people had the chance to choose from dishes that were vegan, gluten, free, Mexican, Czech, Hungarian and many others. Several stands were presenting clothes, coffee, ginger beer, and even CBD.
Stand owners commented on a few changes, according to the owner of „Gingerrr“ Jiri Pavlicek the positions of the stands were closer to the stages which made the event more entertaining. Another participant and the owner of „U karetni Pelcl“ restaurant added that this year has seen more incomers and especially the younger Czech generation. He said that people were more peaceful and relaxed than before.
Some of those who attended the event for the first time commented that they felt very intrigued by the performance and the quality of both the organization and music. Old attendants commented that it was an occasion for old friends to meet again and catch up. Some also saw it as an opportunity to make new friendships and celebrate the first month of summer, and enjoy nature.
Later in the evening the audience felt a bit disturbed because of rainy weather. Fortunately, the organizers were expecting weather changes. Therefore, They gathered under a tent covering the front part of the main stage.
Other difficulties concerned strategic issues such as the isolation of the place, long preparation, and the lack of water, electricity, and funds. However, thanks to Barnet’s friends who volunteered by organazing, the event continued.
The team effort was challenging. Despite the rain, they were able to prevent any downs or technical issues, as Jan Barnet commented that Rosnicka is a full professional event, made by enthusiasts who have experience within this area. Jan concluded his achievement by saying „We built a small city of fun for two days.”
